EXHIBITIONS | 31 Years of 31 Studios
’31 years of 31 Studio’ showcased the work of the studio at the Museum in the Park, Stroud, from January 1st 2019. Works on show included prints from historical archives right through to contemporary photographers and artists, across a diverse range of styles, produced using the 19th C Platinum Palladium process. Amongst images from the glass negatives of Frederick Evans and Jacques Henri Lartigue there were images by Bill Brandt, Bailey, Linda McCartney, Don McCullin, Sebastião Salgado and Idris Khan.
This exhibition celebrated the breadth and depth of 31 Studio’s practice, and dedication to their craft, taking the unique aspects of this handmade process and combining them with the use of contemporary digital processes to create a 21st century expression of this noble artform.
With special thanks to Fred Chance, without whose support and help the show wouldn’t have happened.
